The depth of the cabinet is usually reduced by three inches for islands and other situations where there is not enough room for such a deep cabinet. Types of kitchen base cabinets
RTA, stock, semi-custom, and bespoke base cabinets are the most common styles of kitchen cabinetry available from most vendors.
Ready-to-Assemble (RTA)
For an affordable kitchen base remodel, these are the greatest options available. You can never anticipate too much from RTA kitchen base cabinets because price is usually correlated with quality.
Medium-density fiberboard (MDF), laminates, and particle boards are common materials for these types of cabinets. In the same way, RTAs, which are widely thought to be self-installing base cabinets, are still recommended to be installed by a professional.
Stock Base Cabinets
These require a professional cabinet fabricator and installer to fabricate and install on-site, and the quality and design of these are superior to RTAs. Particleboard, laminates, and MDF are still used in its construction. Solid wood island cabinet bases are also available.
Semi-custom and Customized Base Cabinets
With that in mind, semi-custom or totally custom kitchen base cabinets are excellent options if you’re willing to spend the extra money to obtain exactly what you want.
